Can't get it

On thesims3 website I can't download sims, it always fails.
The download thing says that I need updates, I have all the updates what do I do.
Also Can someone give me some websites that have really nice sims3 clothing.

2 u cant download sim? just sim? or together with skin, hair, clothes?

I mean like on the sims3 website when you go to the website.
I can't download the sims for some reason.
Example:
Going to thesim3
when you find a sim you like I can't download that.
Mostly I wont to just download them because of the custom content.
So if I just could find the custom content on the other websites.
