there r 2 ways to do that:
1 use the 'photo' tool in game. so u can take pics any time u want. The only problem is u can only get full screen pics. That means u cant choose the scope.
2 install professional tool for snapping. U can snap anything u want, scope, size, anything.
after u've collected enough pics, u could begin your story.

Like walkingpen already explained, there are a few ways to do this.
1) You can hit the print screen button when the game is running. When you hit the "prt scr" button, the computer will take a snapshot of your Sim in CAS. To edit this picture further, you need to open the graphics program of your choice, hit "paste" (keyboard shortcut: CTRL + V) and edit to your liking.
But, because you might want to take multiple shots from multiple angles (maybe from the side of your Sims face or the top of her hair to show off a flashy headband), most Simmers recommend you getting a program that allows you to take multiple snapshots of your screen.
That's what walkingpen suggested; programs such as Hypersnap allow you to do that, so you won't have to keep exiting your game, opening paint and pasting your screenshot in it -- also, you can take multiple screenshots at the same time by pressing a button, and they'll all be saved to a folder for you to look at later.
Hope this helps
not the best you've ever had, but you say I'm pretty close ...
