| hey, i was having trouble too, and i finally got it to work, here is what i did.....i started fresh making sure there was nothing in my mods or packages folder first...make sure the folders are in the right spot....when u go into program files, and electronic arts, the sims 3, u should see some folders already there, like cache, bin, saved data, etc, about 5 folders i think....then right click to create a new folder there, label it mods....then double click mods to open the empty folder, and make a package folder....then, minimize this window, so its handy.....then go into peggyzone, and download the hair u want, and save it on ur desktop, make a new folder, call it peggy, to make it easy......then once downloaded, right click the peggy file, and select extract here, and there should be the resourse.cfc, and the package as well as a jpeg image, and a readme txt......now restore the minimized window of sims 3 program files, and go into the peggy folder on desktop, click and drag the resourse file to the sims3 file...then click and drag only the one that says packeage into the package file...then u are good, u should see all these files on the folder tree in the program files window, just drag those 2 things and ur good...when i went into the game, it didnt show the hair, i just clicked on the mohawk, and it was there! so dont freak if u dont see it physically from the hair menu, just click on the mohawk....hope this makes sense! |
