I desperately needed to update my portfolio, so when I had some unexpected spare time today, I decided to create a new layout for PeggyZone, because I love the site and wanted to give it a try
The link's there if you're interested in seeing all the credits and the bigger version, because ay, the hot-linking :/ You can also leave a comment there, if you're more inclined! All in all, the thing I'm least sure about the sidebar. Ho-hum. I'd definitely appreciate all your opinions, since it's been about two years since I last designed a website
It looks really nice. Personally, I'd do a light green or blue as the background. Something neutral but light, where the main section and its color attracts the most attention.
I feel like the site right now is almost overwhelming with all these links and ways to get to one place, but this seems a lot more universal and organized.
Although I'm no graphic designer, I'd say it looks really nice, although there's room for improvement. I'd love to see any updates

The direction for the layout; that is, what do the owners of PeggyZone want to achieve when people visit their site? Do they want the visitor to think "oh, how cute!" or "this is really professional" or something else entirely?

I did try many backgrounds, but I finally settled for this one, because I thought it added a bit more pop to it than any neutral background could do. It's a bit unexpected, which I like about it: website layouts should be a little surprising, that's what keeps the visitor interested.
Yes, PeggyZone is really large and perhaps in its largeness, it makes things a bit hard to oversee at once. That's why I thought I'd try my hand at a concept and see what everyone thinks. Anyway, thank you for your suggestions!
not the best you've ever had, but you say I'm pretty close ...
