My Sims 3 is Crashing Help! Sims, Crashing, Help

Ok im sorry to be such a bother to all people but my sims3 is crashing everytime i add new hair what do i do to stop it?

And you're not being a bother, don't worry. But maybe you can be a bit more descriptive? What happens exactly when you add a new hair? Does your game refuse to start? Does your whole screen turn black? Do you get an error message? The more descriptive you are, the more helpful we can be

Well my luancher comes up i click play its black it doesnt go any furthur. It stays like that for hours and its annoying!

maybe it's CC conflict....try to delete some CC that caused the crash...

i did everytime i add 1 hair i have to take off 5 and i dont want to

I have the same problem. I come into the game, play a few minutes, and then bam!, the game is gone, I'm on my desktop. Then I removed all CC from this day and the next time played a little longer, for about 20 minutes. Then I removed CC from two days (but not all, some of new peggy's hairs are still in the game): this time I played A FEW HOURS before crash. Now I must remove all CC from two days ago and see what will happened?

if it's not your custom content, it may be your computer.  if you're on a desktop, turn the computer off, unplug it, and open the case.  with all of your jewelry off, wipe off all the dust around your fan and power supply.  if your computer gets too hot, it will crash your game because the sims 3 takes a lot of power to run.  if you're using a laptop, try buying a laptop cooling pad to place underneath it as you play.  this helped my friend's computer at simcasticdesigns.com get their game running again!

It's not my computer, which is NEW, it's not a laptop, has 3,16 GHz processor, 4 GB RAM, 1 GB ATI graphic card ... And because something like this happend to me two months ago, connected with first peggy's donation hair. Then I removed a few peggy's hair AND one custom hair from other website, and game didn't crash anymore. Tested the game few days and put back peggy's hair one by one, except this other hair. Game didn't crash anymore then- seems as one of peggy's hair wasn't compatible with this not-peggy's one. Wery strange ... . This time I will go the same way, but it will last much much longer, because I put so much CC in the game in the last few days.

well, darja121, I hope my advice will work out for SailorMoon1, as she was the original poster and to whom I was replying.

for your situation, it does seem to be a custom content issue.  as I've learned from many game crashes myself, I always load up my game after downloading 5 or 6 pieces of custom content, just to make sure it works.  that way, I can narrow it down to one of those 5 or 6 recent downloads.  it's a nice trick/game hint that has saved me HOURS of trouble when I ran into an incompatible piece of CC!
