I am on a Mac. (Leopard OS. Brand new, week old. Fast everything. No previous problems with anything. ) I followed the steps to locate the Sims3 Root folder (In the Program folder, not the documents folder), installed the rousrcecfg file in the root folder. Made the Mods/Package/ folder (double checked the name). I even deleted the cached files in the Documents/..etc. folder. I have downloaded clothes that show up in game but when I go to use any downloaded hair, (from modthesims.com and peggyzone.com) I have the same problem - cc hair comes up as bald/mohawk/ or not at all.
I tried to take out all packages and the mod/packages folder along with the resourcecfg file and then used Marhis's Framework Installer from here - http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=349349 and then try to install all the mods again. Same problem.
I have updated the lastest game patch. But I had the same problem before the patch as well. I haven't had any crashing issues.
I used the Marhis Framework to make sure the folders were installed properlly but as to the mod files, I am installing them manually. I use the Stuffit Mac extracting tool and then put the .package files directly into the Sim3rootfolder/Mods/Package folder.
I have looked at all the help posts I can find but haven't found any answer. Can anyone help point me in the right direction?
I am going to try uninstalling/reinstalling everything.
