Question about CC in .sim format! sim, Question, format

I had to uninstall my sims due to some crashes, and now I lost all of my costum content. The packages are fine, but it's the content you install via the launcher. Is there a special folder for that, so I can copy and paste into disc on key or something and later install them to the game?

?  if they are not there,
i am afraid u've lost them....before u reinstall the game, u should make a backup of them...

I've checked there, the files are not there. They've were deleted when I unistalled the sims. My question was is there a way to find the files that are in the "Intalled Content" category, which don't appear in the Downloads category in the launcher? My sister has some files I had, and they don't appear in this folder...

u mean those custom content which are the  .package file format?  those ones are in C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages

there r 2 kinds of custom content...one is .package file which is put in C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages
and the other is .sims3pack which is put in C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads
